Job summary

Fresno Superior Court is seeking a Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) to report verbatim testimony in trials and hearings using stenographic or voice writing equipment. The CSR must hold a California license and be able to travel between court locations to provide accurate transcripts.

The role includes realtime reporting, preparing official transcripts, and maintaining transcript files in accordance with court rules and policies.

Qualifications

• CSR license in California is required.
• Ability to travel between Fresno County locations.
• Knowledge of realtime transcription hardware and CAT software.
• No minimum experience required.

Responsibilities

• Report verbatim all proceedings in assigned sessions.
• Provide realtime reporting.
• Read back testimony as requested.
• Prepare and certify official transcripts.
• Maintain reporter notes and transcript files.
