Job summary

San Bernardino Superior Court seeks Pro-Tempore Certified Court Reporters to cover court proceedings on a flexible, countywide basis. The role requires real-time or verbatim transcription using stenography or voice writing equipment, with CSR certification and own equipment necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience providing real-time stenography or voice writing.
• CSR certification from the California Department of Consumer Affairs Court Reporter Board is required.
• Must own and maintain appropriate transcription equipment.

Responsibilities

• Attend court sessions as assigned and provide verbatim transcripts using stenographic or voice writing equipment.
• Provide immediate readbacks upon request.
• Prepare printed or magnetic media transcripts of proceedings.
• Review and file transcripts and handle transcript requests.
• Maintain and organize paper and electronic files.
