Black & Veatch is seeking an Operator for our World Headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas. You will operate and monitor assets for clients from the Remote Operations Center, following dispatch instructions and documenting progress of maintenance work.

The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts, mentoring newer team members, coordinating with the site owner, O&M teams, regulators, and leadership to maintain contractual obligations and asset performance.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree or trades/vocational experience preferred.
• 2+ years of Operator-related work experience.
• Experience with Battery Storage, Solar, Wind, or Thermal generation.
• Control Room Operator experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Power Plant systems and processes.
• Basic knowledge of NERC responsibilities.

Aufgaben

• Operate and monitor real-time assets from the ROC.
• Coordinate with site teams, owners, regulators and leadership to resolve issues.
• Follow energy dispatch instructions and ROC procedures.
• Mentor and develop less experienced team members.
• Document progress of maintenance-related work and reporting.
