As a Product Manager in Real Time Payments, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Offering 24/7 availability combined with speed and transparency, real-time payments are at the forefront of a digital payments revolution in the U.S. JP Morgan Chase has established a leadership position in building out the nation's first instant payments system, US Real-Time Payments (RTP). We are working to expand our real-time payments channel enablement, commercialization, and grow the product in collaboration with the FedNow Service and The Clearing House.

Job responsibilities

1. Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
2. Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
3. Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that supports the strategic roadmap and value proposition
4. Builds the framework and tracks key success metrics such as cost, features, risk, and reliability
5. Contributes to the development, implementation, and coordination of real-time payments product initiatives and strategic roadmap
6. Develops strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the organization globally
7. Owns end-to-end execution of projects and priorities, resolving issues as they arise
8. Engages internal and external partners/clients to understand needs and priorities
9. Leads conversations with Sales to develop commercialization strategies and manage prospective client pipelines for RTP and RfP
10. Plans and executes communications and campaigns with relevant partners
11. Represents JP Morgan in RTP industry events and enables additional RTP channels

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent in product management or relevant domain
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
• Advanced knowledge of product management lifecycle, design, and data analytics
• Deep understanding of real-time payments systems, RfP, and the payments landscape
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Experience in developing and executing communication strategies
• High attention to detail and quality in work products
• Ability to build strong partnerships within a matrix organization
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines across markets and time zones

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus
• Experience in complex, matrixed organizations
