Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Real Time Operations Applications Support Specialist to drive the service delivery for EMS, SCADA, and ADMS across multiple centers. You will own incident management, coordinate software releases, and work with vendors to maintain platform health and reliability.

The role requires strong ITIL discipline, ServiceNow expertise, and experience with mission-critical real-time systems. On-site roles are available across Ohio, Texas, and Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field with equivalent experience.
• Experience with ITIL processes and ServiceNow incident management.
• Background in real-time OT/IT environments and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operational support for EMS/SCADA/ADMS and Real-Time Systems.
• Own incident, problem, change, release, and service-request lifecycle in ServiceNow.
• Lead daily triage and coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Manage software releases, patches, and platform upgrades.
• Develop runbooks, procedures, and platform ownership records.
• Provide dashboards, metrics, and executive status updates.
