Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a Real Time Operations Applications Support Specialist to provide 24/7 support for OT real-time tools (ADMS, EMS, SCADA) across multiple control centers. You will own incidents, changes, and releases in ServiceNow, lead triage, and coordinate with vendors, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.

You will manage software releases, patching, and lifecycle plans while developing runbooks and dashboards to monitor platform health and service performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ITIL service management and ITSM workflows.
• Experience coordinating incidents, problems, changes, and releases.
• Strong vendor management and cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with OT/IT environments (EMS, SCADA, ADMS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary coordinator for operational support across Real-Time Systems.
• Own lifecycle of incidents, problems, changes, service requests, and enhancements in ServiceNow.
• Lead daily issue triage and coordinate among teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate software releases, patch deployments, and platform upgrades.
• Develop runbooks, support procedures, and performance dashboards.
