Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Mid-Level Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and analyze real-time M&S products for the U.S. Army across lab and field venues. You will design simulations, integrate existing code bases, and track issues while enabling HWIL deployments.

The role focuses on C++/FORTRAN development, MATLAB/Python tooling, and real-time data analysis. U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively complex software design engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in C++, FORTRAN, Python, and MATLAB.
• Experience with build systems Make and Meson; source control Perforce/GitLab.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain an active secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, execute, and analyze real-time M&S products for Army lab and range venues.
• Design and develop simulations using tactical protocols; integrate changes into real-time sims.
• Track, debug, and resolve issues; support QA in various facilities.
• Develop VE and other real-time simulations; integrate fire control and missile code into system-of-systems.
• Create pre- and post-processing tools in MATLAB/Python for data analysis.
• Travel to support integration and operation in Flight Test environments.
