Job summary

Bartholomew County REMC is seeking a Distribution System Operator & Dispatcher to monitor and dispatch distribution operations. You will coordinate line crews, monitor outages, and maintain accurate labor, material, time, and mapping records using SCADA, OMS, GIS, AMI, and MDM systems.

Candidates with experience in logistics, emergency management, or other mission-critical coordination roles are encouraged to apply. Occasional overtime during outages or emergencies may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in dispatching, GIS, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn and use NISC mapping software and SCADA operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor distribution system via SCADA and GIS; update mapping and records.
• Perform real-time dispatch for line crews and coordinate field activities.
• Assist with outage tracking, restoration support, and data integrity across platforms.
