Zusammenfassung

Exelon seeks a Distribution System Operator to optimize and operate the electric distribution network safely and reliably. You will monitor real-time alarms, perform switching, and lead tagging and clearance activities while coordinating with multiple groups to restore service during outages and storms.

The role requires extended hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays, with a focus on maintaining system reliability and safety in all conditions.

Qualifikationen

• Meet job requirements of Distributed System Operator 1 and have at least 6 months Distributor System Operator 1 equivalent experience.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and differentiate colors on computer schematics.
• Formal OCC training with knowledge of operating procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to respond to emergencies and manage stressful situations.
• Willingness to work shift work.

Aufgaben

• Follow established policies and guidelines to maintain system integrity and reliability.
• Gather and analyze system data to assess switching feasibility and safe operation.
• Develop switching routines and emergency plans based on contingencies.
• Direct and supervise electrical switching and safety tagging activities.
• Coordinate with personnel across operations, construction, and customer teams during outages.
• Maintain system voltages and loadings within acceptable limits.
• Keep supervisors informed of abnormal conditions and outages.
• Maintain current status information on SCADA and maps; ensure map accuracy.
