Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Dispatch Center Operator to oversee the safe, reliable operation of generation, transmission and distribution facilities within the ESCC jurisdiction. You will monitor real-time system status, coordinate outages and implement emergency procedures with ISO-NE and Local Control Centers.

The role requires knowledge of SCADA systems, switching and tagging policies, and contingency analysis.

Qualifications

Experience with generation, transmission and distribution operations.
Knowledge of NERC NPCC ISO-NE procedures and guidelines.
Ability to analyze load flows and contingency studies.
Experience with switching and tagging policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Plans, prepares, approves and issues switching, grounding and tagging requirements.
Performs security analysis studies to evaluate system status and contingency planning.
Assists with outage reception and processing and coordinating switching personnel.
Determines fault locations and directs restoration of loads and facilities.
Maintains voltage profiles using generator reactive resources and capacitors.
Initiates emergency procedures as required and reports actions to authorities.
Analyzes device malfunctions and relevant equipment within ESCC scope.
Disseminates data to ISO-NE and neighboring companies per contract requirements.
Ensures safe operation of ESCC facilities and personnel.
