Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Control Center Operator to oversee the safe and reliable flow of gas and liquids through the ET pipeline systems in Houston. You will coordinate compressors/pumps, monitor pressures, and work with field personnel to ensure timely deliveries and data reporting to the Partnership.

The role requires a 12-hour shift with day/night coverage, including weekends and some holidays. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and become proficient with SCADA systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiar with PC applications (Excel, Word, Project).
• Proven multitasking, analytical and detail-oriented.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some travel and overtime are required.
• 12-hour shift with day and night coverage, including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to work from an alternate Control Center location during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain pipeline pressures within design criteria.
• Collaborate with departments to implement changes as scheduled.
• Serve as first contact in emergency response and notify authorities and management.
• Maximize pipeline throughput in coordination with operations and plants.
• Manage liquids operations: pump/delivery schedules, inventories, and remote site control.
• Troubleshoot communications, SCADA, valves and related equipment.
• Complete daily throughput reports and maintain emergency contact lists.
• Evaluate operational problems and propose solutions.
