Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking a pipeline control specialist to ensure safe, reliable gas flow through ET pipeline systems. You will collaborate with field personnel and various departments to optimize compressor/pump and equipment operation, and report data accurately to the Partnership.

The role requires availability for 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays, with potential travel. High school diploma or GED is required; a 2-4 year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening per PHMSA regulations.
• Requires familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and related programs.
• Experience with SCADA systems is a plus; strong multitasking and detail orientation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain pipeline pressures within design criteria and monitor gas quality.
• Coordinate changes with ET departments when scheduled.
• Be first contact in emergency responses and notify services and ET management.
• Coordinate with pipeline operations and plants to maximize throughput during outages.
• Troubleshoot communications, SCADA, control valves and related equipment.
• Complete daily throughput reports.
• Maintain emergency notification and call-out lists.
• Evaluate operational problems and provide recommendations.
