Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is a major North American midstream energy company seeking a Gas Pipeline Controller in NW Houston. You will operate pumps, valves, and equipment while monitoring multiple pipelines and facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant movement of gas and liquids.

Training will cover safety, regulatory requirements, and industry procedures. The role requires the ability to quickly respond to alarms, review batch listings, and coordinate with field teams.

Qualifications

• 60 college credit hours with oil and gas field operations/plant experience or 60 credit hours with relevant oil and gas or air traffic controller experience in the military or on-the-job experience operating as a pipeline controller or board operator.
• Associates degree strongly preferred.
• 2-3 years in Chemical or Oil and Gas industry strongly preferred.
• Experience and basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including background checks, DOT drug screen, and aptitude assessments.
• Team player with effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Must work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends/holidays after training.

Responsibilities

• Remotely starting/stopping pumps and compressors and operating valves.
• Monitoring and controlling movement of material through pipelines and facilities.
• Analyzing changing conditions and alarms and making adjustments.
• Determining accurate timing of pipeline events by reviewing schedules.
• Detecting abnormal operations and applying critical judgement quickly.
• Monitoring pipeline integrity and coordinating maintenance.
• Monitoring tank and cavern storage levels.
• Communicating with field personnel, customers, and suppliers to maximize safety, quality, and service.
