Job summary

FlightSafety International Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Level Software Engineer to develop software for simulator systems, covering real-time simulation, aircraft systems, navigation, and dynamics.

You will collaborate with software and hardware engineers, design prototypes, and contribute to R&D initiatives. The role supports ongoing software construction, testing, verification, and documentation, with travel, shift work, and potential security considerations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Two years related experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies is required.
Strong knowledge of software development life cycle models and test planning.

Responsibilities

Develop, support, and maintain software components across the development cycle.
Translate requirements into test plans, cases and scripts; perform testing and verification.
Design software models from schematics and wiring diagrams for physical systems.
Collaborate with software and hardware engineers; communicate across departments.
Create customer and internal user guides; present operation demonstrations to customers.
Contribute to prototypes and research for new technologies and algorithms.
