Job summary

FlightSafety International seeks a software engineer to develop, test, and maintain simulator software across the full development cycle. You will work on real-time simulation of aircraft systems, navigation, dynamics, and interoperability with OEM software, applying disciplined development methods and documentation practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with software/hardware engineers, prototyping for new technologies, and staying current with state-of-the-art tools and techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field; plus 2 years’ experience preferred.
• 2+ years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Develops, supports, and maintains software components across the development cycle.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into software.
• Designs prototypes for new technologies and algorithms.
• Supports software verification, testing, and documentation.
• Travel and shift work may be required.
