Job summary

FlightSafety International in the United States seeks a software engineer to develop propulsion and APU simulation software for simulator systems. You will design, implement, and test real-time models, analyzing specifications and data.

The role requires hands-on work with C/C++, FORTRAN, MATLAB, and Simulink, plus scripting and cross-disciplinary collaboration with customers and regulators. Occasional travel and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Two years related experience in software engineering preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, diagrams, and fault cases.
  • Experience with real-time propulsion models encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain propulsion and APU simulation software.
  • Test propulsion and APU models using C/C++, FORTRAN, MATLAB, and Simulink.
  • Analyze specifications and data to develop accurate simulation models.
  • Integrate third-party propulsion models into simulators.
  • Develop scripts to process large datasets.
  • Prepare test guides and validation procedures for training centers and regulators.
  • Support simulator qualification activities and customer interactions.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed for testing and support.
