Job summary

Clearway Energy is seeking an Operations Specialist I/II to support the Operations Manager and Engineer in delivering safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant asset performance across wind, solar and battery storage assets. The role is on-site in Scottsdale, AZ, with 12.5-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will monitor real-time operations, identify anomalies, coordinate remedial actions, and ensure data integrity while aligning with contracts and regulatory

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in operations; 3–4 years preferred.
• Ability to manage plant operations considering location, generation type, interconnect and regulatory requirements.
• Must work 12.5-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor real-time activities and asset status to maintain data integrity.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions and react accordingly.
• Coordinate remedial actions to maximize asset availability and revenue.
• Interpret contracts (PPA, LGIA, O&M) and related scheduling/reporting.
• Operate multiple power plants in accordance with regulatory requirements (CPUC/WECC).
• Coordinate with Site Managers, Supervisors and technicians for status verifications and downtime reporting.
