Job summary

Clearway Energy seeks an Operations Specialist I in Scottsdale, AZ to support RPMC activities for wind, solar, and battery storage assets. This on-site role requires working 12.5-hour rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on safety, reliability, and data integrity.

Success hinges on SCADA experience or renewables technician background, with strong problem solving and communication skills to coordinate with Field Ops and external entities.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in Operations or Solar/Wind Field Technician role preferred.
• Ability to operate multiple power plants in a high-stress environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time activities and asset performance to determine root cause and maintain data integrity.
• Identify abnormal operating and alarm conditions and react accordingly.
• Manage power plant operations considering location, generation type, interconnects, and regulations.
• Answer phones and emails during the shift.
• Coordinate remedial actions to maximize availability and revenue.
• Interpret activities related to contracts (PPAs, LGIA, O&M).
• Operate power plants per regulatory requirements (CPUC/WECC).
• Coordinate with Field Operations teams for status verifications and safety.
