Richmond Ambulance Authority is seeking a System Status Controller to monitor EMS communications in real time, triage calls, deploy units, and coordinate with public safety agencies under IAED standards. The role requires multitasking, attention to detail, and strict adherence to EMD protocols.

You will work with CAD and radio systems, track unit status, support field operations, and may serve as a training preceptor after qualification.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EMT certification in Virginia required or higher.
• EMD certification required or to be obtained within 6 months.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License required.

Mansioni

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and triage appropriately.
• Enter and update data in CAD system.
• Monitor and adjust ambulance deployment using System Status Management (SSM).
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, hospitals and partners.
• Maintain awareness of system threats and monitor unit status changes.
