Richmond Ambulance Authority in Richmond, VA is seeking a System Status Controller to monitor EMS communications in real time, triage calls, and coordinate ambulance deployment under IAED standards.

You will enter and update data in CAD, support field operations, and liaise with law enforcement, hospitals, and fire services to maintain system readiness and rapid response.

This part-time, hourly role requires EMT with EMD certification and strong multitasking and communication skills.

Competenze

• Must have High school diploma or GED.
• EMT certification (Virginia) required.
• Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification required or must be obtained within 6 months.
• CPR certification required.

Mansioni

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and determine appropriate response level.
• Triage call types and assign priority codes according to IAED standards.
• Enter and update data in the CAD system.
• Monitor and adjust ambulance deployment using system status management.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, hospitals, and fire services for critical information.
• Notify supervisors of incidents, system threats, or service disruptions.
