Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Real-Time Embedded Software Developer and Verification Engineer to join the Stores Management System and Computing Platform Development Team in Grand Rapids or Clearwater. Hybrid onsite work is required with 2–3 days in the office weekly.

You will develop real-time embedded software in C/C++/Ada, implement bare-metal drivers and RTOS, and verify with unit tests and industry tools. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience developing real-time embedded software.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Ada; full lifecycle software development (V-model).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and verify real-time embedded software across the V-model lifecycle.
• Support lifecycle phases: requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, verification, validation, and tests.
• Develop for AMD/Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC and MIL-STD-1553 communications integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software for SMS and Computing Platform.
• Apply safety standards such as DO-178 and MIL-HDBK-516C.
