Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a Flight Software Developer to design, develop, and test embedded real-time software for airborne systems, including sensors, autonomy, UAS, and counter-UAS solutions.

You will work in an Agile team to implement modern C++ in embedded subsystems, run unit tests, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with customers and engineers to deliver fieldable software.

Qualifications

• Degree with GPA 3.0+ or higher.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• 0–18 years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience embedding software interfacing with embedded systems and using disciplined software practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop object-oriented C++ embedded software for airborne subsystems.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests on software components.
• Work in an Agile software development team with planning and estimation.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues; support fieldable software development.
• Use GitLab CI/CD for configuration management and automated testing.
• Collaborate with customers and teammates and document technical data.
