Job summary

CharterCARE of Rhode Island seeks a Data Quality Assistant to document Provider-Patient encounters in real time within the EHR. You will generate referral letters, organize medical documents, and assist with E-scribing to support efficient patient care.

The role requires 1–2 years in a medical office, basic EMR/EHR experience (Meditech/Athena), and strong organizational skills. Office-based position in Rhode Island is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting; ability to type 40 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Accurately captures and documents Provider-Patient encounters in real time into the EHR.
• Generate referral letters for Providers.
• Manage and sort medical documents within the EHR system.
• Assist with E-scribing.
