Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Data Replication Engineer to own real-time data streaming pipelines across hybrid environments. You will configure CDC workflows, manage schema changes, and ensure data integrity between on-premises databases and cloud targets.

Responsibilities include monitoring, incident resolution, health checks, and disaster recovery planning. Strong SQL, scripting, and RBAC/security practices are required, along with experience in Oracle GoldenGate, IBM InfoSphere CDC, or Qlik

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of direct experience administering at least one enterprise replication tool.
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, IBM InfoSphere CDC, or Qlik Replicate.

Responsibilities

• Proactive Monitoring: Establish, monitor, and respond to alerts regarding replication lag, latency, and throughput bottlenecks.
• Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve complex replication failures, data mismatches, and pipeline interruptions to meet SLAs.
• Health Assessments: Daily checks on log readers, capture processes, network scripts, and target appliers.
• Pipeline Configuration: Map, configure, and deploy end-to-end CDC workflows for new applications.
• Schema Evolution: Manage DDL replication without disrupting analytics and reporting.
• Data Validation: Implement automated reconciliation for data consistency between sources and targets.
• Lifecycle Management: Plan, test, and execute upgrades and patches for replication tools.
• Infrastructure Scaling: Coordinate resources as data volumes grow.
• Disaster Recovery: Design and test failover and recovery procedures.
• Audit Support: Produce lineage maps for compliance inquiries.
• Access Control: Implement RBAC and secure credentials across tools.
• Data Security: Ensure TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit.
