Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a DMS Database Engineer to diagnose and fix complex replication and migration failures across heterogeneous databases. You will partner with software and field engineers to analyze customer incidents involving CDC, schema migrations, and data validation.

Formación

• 4+ years of relational database technology experience
• Experience with at least one scripting language and a procedural language for at least one database

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across multiple database engines
• Investigate and resolve performance degradation, data corruption, replication lag, CDC failures, and schema migration edge cases
• Build automation, log analysis tools, and diagnostic scripts using SQL and scripting languages to accelerate troubleshooting
• Guide customers through migration and replication challenges using CDC, logical replication, and data validation
• Collaborate with SDEs on root cause analysis by reasoning about C/C++ or Java code in the DMS replication engine
• Operate within the AWS ecosystem (RDS, Aurora, DMS, Redshift, S3, CloudWatch) to investigate issues end-to-end
• Document findings with runbooks and knowledge base articles for teams and customers
