Job summary

Delaware Court of Chancery is seeking a court reporter to provide verbatim stenographic reporting for trials, hearings, and conferences. You will prepare transcripts promptly and interact with court personnel, parties, and the public as part of a busy, professional team.

Role requires familiarity with CAT software, real-time streaming, and proper courtroom terminology; occasional travel within the state is expected. Join a respected court committed to accuracy and service.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a court reporting school or university including courses in stenographic methods and legal terminology.
• Up-to-date CAT software capable of streaming real-time over the internet.
• Successful completion of the RPR certification within one year of hire.
• Successful completion of the CRR certification within two years of hire.
• Ability to communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally, in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work within deadlines to ensure prompt transcript completion.

Responsibilities

• Stenographic reporting of all hearings before judicial officers, and prompt production of transcripts as requested.
• Work in a team environment to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the court reporters' office.
