Job summary

Delaware Court of Chancery seeks a Court Reporter-Real Time to provide verbatim stenographic reporting for trials, hearings and conferences, with timely transcripts, at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center, New Castle County, DE. Occasional statewide travel is required.

The candidate should have formal court reporting training, up-to-date CAT software, RPR and CRR certifications within specified timelines, and strong teamwork and deadline-driven skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a court reporting program including standard stenographic methods.
• Up-to-date CAT software capable of streaming real-time over the internet using Bridge Mobile.
• RPR certification within one year of hire.
• CRR certification within two years of hire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Stenographic reporting of all hearings before judicial officers, and prompt production of transcripts as requested.
• Ability to work in a team environment to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the court reporters' office.
