Job summary

The Delaware Court of Chancery is seeking a Court Reporter-Real Time to provide verbatim stenographic reporting for trials, hearings, and conferences. You will timely prepare transcripts and interact with judges, attorneys, and the public in a fast-paced environment.

Based at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center in New Castle County, occasional travel to Kent and Sussex Counties is required. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Graduation from a court reporting program including stenographic methods and English terminology.
CAT software up-to-date and capable of streaming real-time over the internet using Bridge Mobile.
RPR certification within one year of hire; CRR within two years of hire.
Ability to communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Stenographic reporting of all hearings before judicial officers and prompt production of transcripts.
Ability to work in a team environment to ensure smooth operation of the court reporters' office.
