Job summary

Novogradac in Washington, DC is seeking a Junior Real Estate Analyst to support the Valuation Services team with data collection, market studies, and economic trend analysis for designated regions. The role requires in-office work for the first four months and may flex later with partner approval.

You will conduct market research, identify subsidized and market-rate comparables, perform screening and demand analyses, and help draft market studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 1–2 years in real estate research or market analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; primary research via phone and web.
• Strong analytical and data gathering abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced workload.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct economic and market research via telephone interviews and internet resources.
• Identify subsidized, tax credit and market rate comparables.
• Perform preliminary property screenings, market analysis, comparable rents surveys, and demand analysis.
• Interview housing authorities, planners, senior centers, chamber of commerce to identify problems and understand demand.
• Draft market study reports including market area, comparables and demand analysis.
• Assist in appraisals of proposed and existing real estate developments.
• Complete Novogradac’s Affordable Housing Training & Assessment Program within timeframes.
