Job summary

Active Consulting Services LLC seeks a skilled Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support sophisticated transactions in Roseland, NJ. You will manage due diligence, closings, and post-closing tasks, coordinating with attorneys, title companies, lenders, and clients to keep deals on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CRE paralegal experience, a Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate, proficiency with MS Office and Kofax, and willingness to obtain a Notary Public designation if

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
• Experience with commercial/industrial real estate transactions, title and survey review, due diligence, entity formation, and closings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Kofax.
• Strong organizational, communication, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions, deadlines, and priorities independently.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime, including evenings/weekends, when needed.
• Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain one preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial real estate transactions from due diligence through closing and post-closing.
• Prepare and maintain deal files, transaction checklists, closing documents, signature packages, and closing binders.
• Coordinate due diligence, including title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and related documents.
• Communicate with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, and other third parties to keep transactions on schedule.
• Prepare closing statements, assist with escrow-style closings, complete post-closing deliverables, and maintain accurate transaction records.
