Job summary

TransformCo's RE Legal Operations & Contracts Manager leads the operational backbone of the Real Estate Legal Department, overseeing contract administration, estoppel workflows, and AI-enabled process design across a portfolio of 100+ properties.

The role partners with legal, property management, and asset teams to automate routines, improve accuracy, and ensure compliant documentation, enabling attorneys to focus on substantive analysis and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
10+ years of related experience in commercial real estate legal, contract administration, or equivalent
Extensive knowledge of commercial real estate contracts and documentation
Experience developing, implementing, or administering legal workflow and process automation solutions
Strong contract administration, document management, and quality-control capabilities
Ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented processes with accuracy
Strong organizational and project-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication with cross-functional partners
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Discretion handling confidential information

Responsibilities

Analyzes recurring legal administrative processes to identify automation opportunities, and independently designs, builds, and implements the resulting workflow and AI-enabled tools, including for estoppel administration, notice tracking, docket maintenance, and Document Review Memo (DRM) intake (20%)
Evaluates standard-form consent, land-use, and notice requests involving Real Estate properties, escalates novel or high-value matters to counsel (15%)
Manages and leads initial review of various legal documents and processes, including estoppel and SNDA processes, ensuring timely execution (10%)
Identifies opportunities to standardize, streamline, and automate legal administrative processes and validates implementation approach (10%)
Manages and improves the department's use of AI-enabled tools and processes with governance (7%)
Analyzes litigation and default case files to identify factual gaps and document needs (7%)
Acts as subject-matter authority on legacy agreements and established practices across the Real Estate portfolio (5%)
Partners with the Contracts & Transaction Manager to integrate legal processes with transaction workflows (5%)
Collaborates with Property Management, Asset Management, and cross-functional teams to support portfolio operations (5%)
Maintains controls and documentation standards for accuracy and reliability (5%)
Reviews executed agreements for deviations and appropriate escalation (4%)
Oversees automated agreement processing and resolves exceptions (4%)
Manages internal dashboard and knowledge base for leases, REAs, defaults, and litigation (3%)
