The Rental Agent is responsible for creating and maintaining successful relationships with landlords and closing rental inquiries efficiently. Responsibilities: • Present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants to help secure rental agreement • Use a variety of social media and company’s website to display potential properties to help prompt quick turn around • Establish rental rates by researching local markets and calculating costs to ensure fair and accurate pricing • Work with tenants by negotiating leases and collecting security deposits in order to close the deal • Confirm rental application data and personal references to ensure accuracy • Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically to maintain our level of company standards • Determine the needs, living standards and economic viability of customers in order to match those needs to a property Tenant Relations: • Manage the leasing process, including marketing units, screening applicants, and executing lease agreements • Address tenant concerns, enforce lease terms, and coordinate conflict resolution • Maintain accurate waiting lists and ensure fair housing practices are upheld Property Operations: • Oversee day-to-day property maintenance and coordinate with maintenance staff or contractors for repairs and unit turnovers • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met • Implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules Administrative Duties: • Maintain comprehensive records, including tenant files, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation • Prepare reports for internal use and for submission to regulatory agencies • Stay informed about changes in housing regulations and best practices in property management Qualifications: • Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies • Familiar with leasing regulations • A proven record of sales experience and success • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred) • Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and rental regulations • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed • Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Rent Manager) is a plus • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Compensation: $50,000 plus
