Job summary

Newmark in Boca Raton seeks a Financial Analyst to support underwriting and valuation of multifamily and commercial real estate investments. You will rely on historical financials, pro formas and discounted cash flow analyses to evaluate opportunities and prepare client-ready materials.

You will perform IRR/NPV analyses, track income/expense data, and conduct market research to inform investment offerings and presentations. Strong Excel skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate is required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
• Attention to detail is critical.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting and valuation of multifamily and commercial real estate.
• Conduct IRR, NPV, value-add, replacement cost, residual, and rent roll analyses.
• Request and upload updated financial reports for listed properties.
• Track historical income and expense data for multifamily properties.
• Analyze property performance trends.
• Update multifamily development pipeline and sales data for major markets.
• Perform market research and write market demographic, economic and area overviews for investment offerings.
• Coordinate with Marketing on proposals and collateral.
• Assist brokers and clients with due diligence materials.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and duties as needed.
