Job summary

The Runstad Department of Real Estate at the University of Washington invites applications for a teaching faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, with an anticipated start date of September 2027. The nine-month appointment begins September 16, 2027, and includes duties across undergraduate and graduate programs on campus.

The successful candidate will design, deliver, and assess instruction, mentor students, and participate in service on departmental and college committees.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in real estate, urban planning, construction management, geography, economics, public policy, business related disciplines, or another field with clear overlap in real estate theory or practice, with degree completion required no later than September 2027.
• Evidence of a strong record of outstanding teaching or professional practice in real estate or a closely related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess instruction across undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Teach courses on campus, mentor students, and engage in service on departmental and college committees.
• Teach 24 credit hours per academic year across a mix of large lectures and seminars.
