Job summary

Grayson Search Partners, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to own corporate finances and property-related accounting within a small team. You will oversee the close, budgeting, and multi-entity reporting, while coordinating with asset management, external accountants, and lenders.

You will interact with senior leadership and contribute to cash management, tax administration, and investment reporting, with a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days in the office each week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience with full close responsibilities.
• Commercial real estate and multi-entity experience.
• Experience with external investors, owners, or lenders.
• Strong Excel skills and Yardi or similar real estate accounting platform.

Responsibilities

• Manage corporate close, budgeting, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
• Investor reporting, property financial review, funding requests, and distributions.
• Cash management, banking, debt reporting, and lender requirements.
• Payroll processing and funding, with related benefits coordination.
• Oversight of entity compliance, insurance, and property tax administration.
• Accounting support for property purchases, sales, and refinancings.
• Improvements to procedures, reporting, and technology-enabled workflows.
