Job summary

Law at the Lake is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join our Kannapolis team working on residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing.

You will support attorneys, clients, lenders, and real estate professionals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely closings. Experience in estate planning or business formation is a plus, and notary certification may be required for NC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in residential real estate law or related field.
• Proficiency with Qualia required and ability to manage files independently.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage real estate transactions (residential and commercial) from contract through post-closing.
• Draft and review closing documents, including settlement statements, deeds, and affidavits.
• Order, update, or review title searches, surveys, municipal lien letters, payoff statements, and insurance documents.
• Coordinate with lenders, agents, and clients to gather information, confirm details, and schedule closings.
• Ensure all transaction timelines and deadlines are met.
• Open, manage, and maintain Qualia files accurately and in real time.
• Record documents with Registers of Deeds and file post-closing packages.
• Provide exceptional client communication and support throughout the transaction process.
• Assist with additional firm matters, including estate planning and miscellaneous files, as needed.
