Job summary

McMichael & Gray, PC is seeking a highly organized Precloser to join our Charlotte office. The candidate should have at least two years of Preclosing experience with a title company or law firm and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

In-office role, Monday through Friday, with a focus on accuracy, deadlines, and professional client service. You will work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure smooth closings, manage document preparation, and coordinate with agents,

Qualifications

• Minimum of two or more years of Preclosing experience with a title company or law firm
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Professional customer service oriented; able to communicate effectively via telephone and email

Responsibilities

• Communicate with agents, lenders, buyers and sellers throughout closing from receipt of contract through closing
• Coordinate with parties and vendors to close by contract dates and lender due dates
• Receive contracts and direct files with the appropriate client team
• Order title examinations and municipal lien searches when applicable
• Verify contact information of all parties in Firm software and ensure accuracy
• Prepare files for closing and complete assigned Firm tasks with accuracy
• Request documents related to contract, title, and financing from buyers/sellers/agents/lenders
• Coordinate closing appointments with all parties
• Generate Firm documents prior to closing for buyers and sellers
• Assist with title clearance issues in coordination with Attorneys
