Job summary

McMichael & Gray, PC is seeking a detail-oriented Precloser to join our Greenville, SC office. The role focuses on coordinating all aspects of real estate closings, ensuring accuracy of contracts, title work, and financing documents while maintaining professional communication with clients, agents, lenders and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of preclosing experience with a title company or law firm, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proven ability to manage

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of preclosing experience with a title company or law firm, preferably in Tennessee.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, professional, team-oriented and customer service focused.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with agents, lenders, buyers and sellers from contract to closing.
• Coordinate with parties and vendors to close by contract dates and lender due dates.
• Receive contracts and manage client files with the appropriate team.
• Order title examination and municipal lien searches.
• Verify contact information of all parties in Firm software.
• Prepare files for closing and coordinate closing appointments.
• Communicate documents requested for contract, title, and financing.
• Assist attorneys with title clearance issues before closing.
• Order payoffs and estoppel letters with dates past settlement.
• Ensure accuracy of title commitment and submit to lenders.
• Coordinate closing appointments with all parties.
• Generate Firm documents for buyers and sellers prior to closing.
• Perform other tasks as directed by manager or managing attorney.
