Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee monthly financial reporting for assigned portfolios and mentor the accounting team. You will manage onboarding of new properties and offboarding of exiting properties, ensuring accurate, timely statements in line with GAAP.

You will coordinate year-end audits and tax reporting, work with property management, IT, treasury, and clients to ensure smooth transitions and consistent data integrity across portfolios.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Minimum seven years of work-related experience including supervisory or review experience.
• GAAP reporting, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and real estate accounting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financial statements and schedules for accuracy.
• Ensure GAAP reporting and reconciliation accuracy across portfolios.
• Review journal entries including accruals, depreciation, amortization; reconcile balance sheets.
• Oversee onboarding of new properties and offboarding of exiting properties.
• Coordinate transfer of historical data with IT, treasury, and clients.
• Manage setup of new bank accounts and system configurations; ensure timely transitions.
