Job summary

Career Movement is seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting for a growing real estate portfolio across multiple asset classes and geographies. This hands-on role offers ownership of the general ledger, month-end close, and direct collaboration with investors and lenders on quarterly reporting.

You will own GL activity, manage cash across several bank accounts, and handle AP/AR, distributions, and lender compliance reporting for the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience, real estate or similar industry background preferred.
• Strong hands-on general ledger and month end close experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with real estate or property accounting software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger activity and monthly balance sheet reconciliations for an assigned portfolio.
• Manage cash across multiple bank accounts and process accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare quarterly investor distributions and lender compliance reporting.
