Job summary

CBRE in Bloomington, MN seeks an Accounting Manager to lead a real estate accounting team delivering accurate client reporting for portfolios. You will implement processes to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and review/ certify the accuracy of all financial reports produced by the team.

Responsibilities include reviewing staff output, managing resource allocations, handling escalations, supporting client transitions, and ensuring management fee calculations align with agreements.

Qualifications

• Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting or finance.
• In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate degree plus 2 years related work experience, or a high school diploma plus 4 years proven experience.
• Requires sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
• Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to tackle problems and explore options in varying situations.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Review staff work product, including financial packages, to ensure its complete release to internal departments and external clients.
• Manage allocation of rescue team members to support global delivery.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalations and ensure customer requests are handled timely and with a focus on customer service.
• Assist with internal and external property and client transitions and coordinate with other teams on special requirements.
• Identify and communicate scope of service changes to manager and team; review management fee calculations for compliance.
• Partner with field and account management teams to ensure client agreements are maintained per policy and terms.
• Review budgets and year-end recovery calculations for timely completion.
• Provide supervision, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff.
