Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a multi-entity close and service senior leadership with precise financial reporting. The role focuses on complex intercompany eliminations, real estate lease accounting, and debt-related entries.

You will oversee a small team and drive improvements across processes, systems, and reporting. This high-visibility role offers opportunities to advance toward Assistant Controller or Corporate Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations.
• Real estate and/or lease accounting experience.
• Experience with property-level debt schedules, amortization, and refinancing-related journal entries.
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables, lookups, multi-tab workbooks, and complex reconciliations.
• Experience independently managing a full month-end close.
• Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close process across multiple legal entities from start to finish.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial information, including intercompany eliminations and true-ups.
• Manage accounting for a portfolio of real estate assets, including leases, property-level debt, amortization, and refinancing activity.
• Prepare and maintain debt schedules, amortization schedules, rollforwards, reconciliations, and other complex accounting workbooks.
• Analyze financial information across multiple entities, locations, and departments.
• Identify accounting issues and risks proactively and communicate recommendations to leadership.
• Present financial information and analysis to the CFO and executive/ownership team.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate, timely, and well-supported financial reporting.
• Lead and develop a team of three accounting professionals.
• Continuously improve accounting processes, systems, reporting, and use of technology.
