The Michelson Organization is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to lead accounting for its national real estate portfolio. The role requires a CPA, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, and a track record of supervising multi-entity real estate accounting teams.

You will manage month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and collaborate with senior management on financial reporting and process improvements. This on-site position is based in St. Louis, MO.

Qualificações

• CPA designation required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing accounting for multiple legal entities, preferably real estate.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee accounting leadership and manage a team of accountants responsible for financial reporting across real estate entities.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely reporting.
• Review general ledger activity, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy.
• Coordinate intercompany accounting, allocations, and complex ownership structures.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls across the organization.
• Provide analytical financial insights to senior management and support strategic initiatives.
