Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation or active licensure is required.
• Significant experience in commercial insurance or corporate risk management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a property and casualty insurance license.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, intercompany transactions, and expense allocations.
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, administration, and financial management of insurance programs across a nationwide portfolio.
• Negotiate with brokers and carriers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Oversee insurance-related accounting entries, accruals, intercompany charges, and financial reporting.
• Develop allocation methodologies for insurance premiums across multiple properties and entities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to analyze claims, loss histories, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Maintain licenses and ensure compliance with lender, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Support corporate accounting responsibilities and strengthen internal controls.
