Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Controller, Real Estate, to lead the accounting team overseeing multifamily, office, and retail properties across a dynamic platform. This senior role blends technical accounting, FP&A, and deal work with close partnership to acquisition and asset management teams.

You will own the monthly close, consolidate GAAP financials, supervise staff, and build dashboards with Power BI or Tableau. CPA required; 7+ years real estate accounting; hands-on Yardi experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA is required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience blending public accounting and real estate.
• Experience supervising, training, and developing accounting staff.
• Direct experience with multifamily, office, or retail properties.
• Hands-on Yardi experience or equivalent real estate accounting platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team and develop staff.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Prepare consolidated GAAP financials across property types.
• Direct forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses with asset management.
• Build dashboards with Power BI or Tableau.
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and JV accounting.
