Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Senior NAM Ready-Mix Specialist to lead technical and materials performance improvements across North America. You will translate field observations and QC results into actionable plans and work with regional teams to optimize mix designs, materials usage, and batching discipline.

The role requires 5+ years in Ready-Mix or related construction materials, a Civil/Materials engineering background, and strong data analysis capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent Ready-Mix technical experience considered.
• 5+ years in Ready-Mix, concrete materials, technical services, quality, mix design, batching, or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of Ready-Mix performance drivers (mix design, materials, batching, strength, durability, quality, consistency).
• Experience using technical expertise to improve operational performance, customer outcomes, cost management, and profitability.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, trends, and performance metrics.
• Proven ability to lead root-cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ready-Mix initiatives across NAM.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities related to mix performance and cost-to-produce.
• Translate batch and QC results into actionable improvement plans.
• Analyze large datasets from QC and batch systems to identify trends and root causes.
• Lead root-cause analyses on performance issues and corrective actions.
• Support NAM Ready-Mix materials strategy and mix optimization.
• Collaborate with regional teams to convert findings into actions and measurable results.
• Strengthen KPI and control-limit frameworks and accountability.
