Job summary

Reading Corps at Ampact seeks a Reading Tutor to support students in a Milwaukee-area school. You will deliver 20-minute reading practice sessions, track progress, and participate in coaching and training to improve outcomes.

This is an AmeriCorps role with a structured schedule Monday to Friday during the school year. Qualified applicants are 18+ with a high school diploma, fluent in English, and able to follow directions.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
• Able to follow instructions and use feedback to improve.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, basic data entry).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for pairs of students for 20 minutes daily.
• Follow a schedule to ensure students receive consistent support.
• Track student progress and share results with on-site coach.
• Enter student scores in data software and monitor growth.
• Commit to ongoing coaching and training for personal growth.
• Share tutoring experience with the school and community.
