Reading Corps, powered by AmeriCorps and administered by Ampact, seeks Reading Tutors in Milwaukee for the 2026-27 school year. You’ll tutor pairs of students for 20 minutes daily, following a set schedule and entering scores in data software.

You’ll receive training, coaching, and an AmeriCorps stipend. This role values dependability, following guidance, and a commitment to helping children grow literacy and confidence.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve from feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent; US citizen/national/PR.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for student support.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach.
• Enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
