Job summary

Reading Corps at Ampact seeks a Reading Tutor to help students improve reading skills in a school setting. You will deliver proven activities, coach students daily, and follow a set schedule for multiple pairs each day.

We provide training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to grow professionally while contributing to a national tutoring program funded by AmeriCorps. Position runs for the 2026-27 school year with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent; U.S. citizen or eligible resident.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for student support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach.
• Enter student scores into data software and monitor progress.
