This is a UW-Superior Off-Campus Work Study position. You must be eligible for Work Study in order to work in this position.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in the University of Wisconsin and eligible for the Work Study Program.

Performance Responsibilities

• Follows teacher/administration directives to deliver tutoring services to individual students or small groups to reinforce learning materials and/or participate in activities.
• Assists staff in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or content-level skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
• Instructs students on operation and care of equipment used for tutorial purposes.
• Assists the students in the library, in the classroom, or in other settings.
• Follows directions of instructional staff in monitoring student progress and assists in administering student assessments as needed.
• Follows teacher instructions in assisting in the preparation of instructional materials.
• Capable on a continuous basis: standing, sitting, reaching, grasping, bending, stopping, twisting; repetitive movement of both hands and feet; seeing with both near and far visual acuity.
• Capable on a frequent basis: walking and moving; climb stairs
• Capable on an occasional basis: pushing; pulling; lifting to 25# floor to waist, waist to shoulders and shoulders to overhead

Other Requirements
